الحمد لله السلام المؤمن، والصلاة والسلام على الرحمة المهداة، المبعوث رحمة للعالمين، وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين، ومن تبعهم بإحسان إلى يوم الدين وبعد،،،
فقد تناول القرآن الكريم (السلم والسلام) في عشرات من آياته المحكمات، وقد جعل الله تعالى السلام تحيته بين عباده ،وأمرهم بذلك ، للإشعار بأن هذا الدين هو دين السلام والأمان، وهم أهل السلم ومحبوا السلام. وآيات القرآن الكريم التي تناولت السلام كثيرة، ومن هنا كان الإسلام شعار المسلمين في مشارق الأرض ومغاربها منذ ظهور الإسلام حتى الآن.
وجاء الإسلام خاتماً للأديان، بعد النصرانية التي آل إليها من حرف دين المسيح u. فكان طبيعياً أن يقوم الحوار بين الإسلام والنصارى، بل وأصحاب الديانات الأخرى التي كانت سائدة في ذلك الوقت، فاليهود قد جاوروا المسلمين في المدينة المنورة.
وقد اتضح منهج القرآن الكريم في الحوار مع أصحاب الديانات الأخرى، وألزم المسلمين في مجادلة غير المسلمين، وأهل الكتاب تحديدا، بأن يكون الجدال بالحسنى في قوله تعالى: (وَلا تُجَادِلُوا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ إِلاَّ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ) العنكبوت 46.
وهذا البحث بين يدي القارئ جاء ليؤكد هذه الحقيقة، وأن الإسلام هو دين الأمن والأمان والسلام، أرسى أصولا بمقتضاها يتعايش المسلمون مع غير المسلمين فوق أرض واحدة،وتحت سماء واحدة،وفي مجتمع واحد تمثلت في:
البر والعدل والحوار والاعتراف بالآخر، والجدال بالتي هي أحسن، والتركيز على نقاط الالتقاء، ومواضع الاتفاق. كل ذلك بشهادات صادقة انبعثت من الغرب، شهادات أنصفت الإسلام، وتحدثت بإعجاب وانبهار عن نبي الإسلام عليه الصلاة والسلام، ورسالته الخاتمة الإسلام دين السلام.
- يقول الحق سبحانه وتعالى ( يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ ادْخُلُواْ فِي السِّلْمِ كَافَّةً وَلاَ تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ) البقرة: ٢٠٨
